Terms of Service

The short version

By playing on Cold Creek, signing in to CreekLink or joining our Discord, you agree to these terms.

• Follow the Server Rulebook and staff instructions. Staff enforce them, and every decision can be appealed.
• Your account is your responsibility, whoever is using it.
• In-game money and progress aren't worth real money, and they can be lost to bugs, resets or rule enforcement.
• Don't attack or scrape the website or try to get past its sign-in.
• The mod, map and site are ours. Your character and your footage are yours.
• Cold Creek is free and comes as it is.

Who can play

Cold Creek is a mature community, full of adults (Rule 07). To play you need your own copy of Arma Reforger and a Bohemia account, and you must be in our Discord and linked (Rule 02), so you also need to meet Bohemia's and Discord's age requirements.

Your account

Your character belongs to your Bohemia account, and your CreekLink access comes from your Discord account. The two are linked in game, the first time you join.

You're responsible for everything done on either account, regardless of who was actually using it at the time (Rule 13), so think hard before letting anyone else use yours.

The rules

Playing on the server or taking part in our Discord means agreeing to the Server Rulebook and following staff instructions.

The Book of Laws and the Regulations are your character's laws. Breaking them in character is roleplay with in-game consequences, not a rule break.

The rules change over time, and the version on this site is the one that applies. Staff can warn, kick, restrict or ban under the enforcement schedule. Every decision can be appealed with a ticket in our Discord, and an appeal is read by someone who wasn't part of the original call. An in-game ban doesn't include a ban from Discord.

Using the website

Use the site the way it's meant to be used. Don't:

• try to reach pages, data or tools you haven't been given access to;
• probe, attack or overload the site, or anything it connects to;
• scrape the site, or copy CreekLink data to publish somewhere else.

The department, court and staff pages hold other players' information. If you have access to them, use what you see only for the job that access was given for. Acting in character on something your character couldn't have learned in game is metagaming (Rule 31), and real personal information is never shared without consent (Rule 08).

Game money and progress

Nothing on Cold Creek is for sale. In-game money, items, vehicles, property and progress have no real-world value and can't be exchanged for anything outside the game.

They exist in our game world, and we can change, reset or remove them, for example to fix a bug, rebalance the economy or deal with a rule break. Servers crash and saves can fail, and progress can be lost when they do.

What you post

What you write is yours: applications, reports, statements, court filings, bug reports and Discord messages. By posting it, you let us store it, show it to the people it was meant for and use it to run Cold Creek. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that breaks the rules.

Our content

The Cold Creek mod, map, artwork and code, and this site, belong to Cold Creek Roleplay, apart from the third-party work listed on the Licensing page, and are covered by the Cold Creek License. In short: record, stream and screenshot as much as you like, and your character is yours. Don't copy, redistribute, rehost, modify or republish the rest (Rule 17).

Other companies

Arma Reforger and its Workshop belong to Bohemia Interactive, and Bohemia's terms apply as well as ours. Sign-in and our community run on Discord, and Discord's terms apply too.

Cold Creek isn't made, endorsed or supported by Bohemia Interactive or Discord. It isn't affiliated with any real law enforcement agency or any fire and rescue agency.

Bans and leaving

Staff can suspend or end anyone's access to the server, CreekLink or our Discord at any time (Rule 06). For rule breaks they follow the enforcement schedule.

You can leave whenever you like. To have your data deleted, see Your choices on the Privacy page.

No warranty

Cold Creek is provided as is, with no promise that it will always be available, free of bugs or able to keep your data. To the extent the law allows, Cold Creek Roleplay isn't liable for any loss from using it, including lost progress, data loss or downtime.

Changes and contact

We update these terms when Cold Creek changes, and the date at the top shows the last change. Using Cold Creek after a change means you accept the new version.
